Destination Details

Famous for its surf breaks, stunning beaches, theme parks, shopping, nightlife and hinterland, the Gold Coast has been one of Australia’s premier holiday destinations for decades. 

An easy one hour south of Brisbane, the Gold Coast stretches from Oxenford in the north to Coolangatta in the south, South Stradbroke Island in the east and incorporates the world-renowned stretch of sand at Surfers Paradise on the coast. 

Beyond the beaches, discover laid-back neighbourhoods, a booming culinary scene and the region's famous theme parks. If time permits, the subtropical hinterland for rainforest walks and waterfalls is also worth a trip!

Conference Venue

Located in the heart of one of Australia’s sunniest and shiniest destinations, The Star Gold Coast offers a unique and stylish event space, impressive exhibition venues, award-winning restaurants, lively bars and a world-class casino all just a few hundred metres from iconic beaches and surf clubs.

Our conference sessions will be situated in the Event Centre which is immediately adjacent to The Star Grand hotel.

Thanks to the generosity of our Welcome Function sponsor World's Leading Cruise Lines, this year's Friday night will be one you'll never forget! 

The ‘White Sail Away Soirée’ takes place on the YOT Club, designed from the 'water' up to create a luxury floating oasis that wows from the moment you step aboard. Delegates will delight in catching up with each other while enjoying great friendly service, delicious food and views that are hard to replicate on land - all while cruising at a leisurely pace watching the world go by.

The YOT Club sails from Mariner’s Cove Marina, a 20-minute coach transfer from The Star Gold Coast. Coaches will depart The Star Grand from 1800 hours and return from 2200 hours.

On Saturday night, our National Awards Gala Dinner makes its long-awaited return. We can’t wait to once again recognise worthy winners of the Travellers Choice Leading Agency Award and Choice Awards, honour recipients of the Service Awards and bestow the Supplier of the Year Award to a preferred partner as voted by Travellers Choice members.

Accommodation

Freshly renovated and ideally situated on Broadbeach Island, this slice of paradise offers sweeping coastal and hinterland views as well as nearly 600 luxurious rooms, award-winning restaurants and a 24-hour casino all within arm's reach.

Accommodation for the nights of Friday 10 November and Saturday 11 November is included in delegate fees. Should you require additional pre or post accommodation, please complete your registration and then contact Abbie Durtanovich at DG Global on info@tcconference.com.au to arrange any extra nights which will be at the delegate's own expense.

Dress Standards

The dress standard for all conference sessions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday is business casual. 

Friday night’s Welcome Function is a ‘White Sail Away Soirée’ aboard the YOT Club. Attire for this special event sponsored by World’s Leading Cruise Lines is white outfits. Please wear enclosed shoes and note that thongs, birkenstocks and similar sandals are not permitted, though open toed heels are acceptable.

The Travellers Choice National Awards Gala Dinner on Saturday evening is a formal event and delegates should dress in formal attire. Embrace a new level of luminance and look ‘Bright’ on the night in colours that will light up the room.
